What Coaching Actually Costs
Trisha Addicks, founder of the consulting service It’s All Greek to Me, now charges $6,500 per student for unlimited coaching services, a price she says she raised in response to growing demand. Broader reporting on rush costs shows some families paying well into five figures total once coaching, recruitment outfits, and other expenses are combined, with total costs for a single rush season sometimes exceeding $19,000 when outfits and coaching are added together.
Why Demand Is Rising
Addicks and other consultants say the surge in interest stems partly from the viral “RushTok” trend on TikTok, which has driven a wave of out-of-state applicants, particularly from the Northeast, California, and the Midwest, who are less familiar with the unwritten norms of Southern Greek recruitment and are seeking outside guidance to navigate a competitive, opaque process.

Rush coaches typically help students prepare talking points, review their social media presence, plan recruitment outfits, and coach them through the multi-round interview-style conversations that make up formal recruitment, treating what was once an informal social process more like a structured application.
