A tropical storm warning is in effect from Port Bolivar, Texas to the Vermilion/Cameron Parish line in Louisiana, with hurricane conditions possible from High Island to Cameron. The storm is expected to move inland over southeastern Texas Tuesday night and dissipate by Wednesday.

Forecasters predict 3 to 6 inches of rain across coastal and inland east-central Texas, with up to 9 inches possible in some spots, and 2 to 3 inches in southwestern Louisiana. A storm surge warning covers the same stretch of coast, with peak surge values of 3 to 5 feet possible.
