A Santa Clarita woman was filmed calling a taco vendor a stinky old woman in Spanish and threatening to call immigration on her. The video hit 1.4 million views. She says the cleaning company she spent ten years building is finished. She has also, by her own confirmation, redirected her business phone number to one of her critics.
What happened?
Francesca Ortega confronted vendors at a taco stand in Santa Clarita. On video she calls the vendor a stinky old woman in Spanish and threatens to call ICE.
Her stated grievance was commercial: she argued the stand was undercutting businesses that pay rent nearby, and that it was cheap and lacked class.
The clip went to TikTok and passed 1.4 million views. Her company, Excellence Cleaning Pros, was flooded with negative reviews.
I have a small cleaning business called Excellence Cleaning Pros in Santa Clarita, and they completely ruined it. They flooded it with negative reviews.

The apology, and what came after it
Ortega posted an apology saying her behavior was unacceptable.
I didn’t know the seriousness that would be taken to mention the word. I now understand the full weight it has and how sensitive people are to that and I am sorry, I’m truly sorry.
Francesca Ortega
She then confirmed to FOX 11 that she changed the phone number on her Google business listing to the number of Ricardo Morales, a man who had criticized her online.
Morales says the calls have not stopped.
I’m getting calls from all the United States.
Ricardo Morales
The BeezLoop Take
Ortega did something genuinely serious and she is right that what came back at her is out of proportion. Both of those are true and the internet is incapable of holding them at the same time.
Start with what she did, because the apology gets the weight of it wrong. Threatening to call ICE on a street vendor is not rudeness. It is reaching for the most powerful thing available to you, deportation, and pointing it at someone selling food, over a dispute about rent and class. Saying afterward that you did not know the seriousness of the word is not much of a defense in Los Angeles County in 2026. Everyone knows.
The pile-on is still a bad system, and saying so is not a defense of her. Review-bombing does not distinguish between a person who deserves consequences and one who does not, it never stops when the point is made, and it lands on employees who did nothing. A ten-year cleaning business is not a proportionate price for a bad two minutes, and the people administering that price gave no thought to whether it was.
The phone number is where our sympathy stops entirely, though. Apologizing and then rerouting your business calls to a critic is not a person overwhelmed by a mob. It is retaliation, aimed at a specific individual who is now fielding calls from across the country. That is the act of someone who learned that attacking a person is effective, not that it was wrong.
And the vendor is missing from almost every version of this. She was working. She got threatened with immigration enforcement by a stranger. Nobody has asked her what the last week has been like, because the story became about the woman with the business.
Is destroying a small business the right penalty for two minutes of cruelty?
Is destroying a small business the right penalty for two minutes of cruelty? And what does an apology mean from someone who then redirects her phone traffic to the person who criticized her?
