Voters in Wisconsin, South Carolina and Minnesota headed to the polls Tuesday in primary elections seen as a test for both progressive Democrats and the Trump-aligned wing of the Republican Party.
In Wisconsin, a closely watched Democratic showdown between Francesca Hong and David Crowley highlighted the party’s internal divide, while South Carolina Republicans chose among candidates vying for the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s seat.
Voters in six states in all were choosing candidates ahead of the November general election, making it one of the most closely tracked primary nights of the cycle.
